Kournikova had a decent singles record but had a huge success in doubles. Additionally, she was an extremely admired partner for Martina Hingis. She played in the U.S Open at 15 years old and reached she reached the Wimbledon semi-finals at 16 years old. She retired from tennis professionally at the age 21, due to back pain.
